Regulation placement: 5/8 inch above the collar notch for male cadets (centered on notch, parallel to lapel edge) or 5/8 inch up from the collar and lapel seam for female cadets (parallel to lapel edge). No polishing required. Approved for Army and Navy JROTC cadets.
